I had my Ixus i camera sent for lens repair to Canon Philippines last April. What follows is my now very angry letter (sent to Canon International) 3 months later.
My name is Pia and I’m from the Philippines. I know this email should have been directed to Canon Philippines but I have had no response to the NUMEROUS emails I have sent that office. I had purchased the Canon Ixusi camera December of 2004 and not 2 years later, it had problems with the lens. I sent it to Canon for repairs last April. It’s already August and I still haven’t received any word beyond the news that Canon is GOING TO SEND a quotation of how much it’s going to cost.
I’ve emailed Canon Philippines and at one time received a reply saying that the camera part that was damaged was going to be replaced and would cost P12,000. I asked for an explanation as to why such a part would cost half of what the camera cost when I purchased it, and was told they would call me back. That was in May. I never got the call back. All my subsequent emails to Canon have not received any response.
I’ve waited patiently for any news for more three months.
When is it finally going to be repaired? How much is it finally going to cost? HOW DO I GET THIS REPAIRED NOW?
For the love of all things holy, CAN I GET A REPLY THAT’S WORTH SOMETHING!!!
I’ve also sent a similar letter to Canon Philippines MULTIPLE TIMES! Still, abso-fucking-lutely no reply.
