Of Elections
So today the country packed themselves into the polling stations for the Senatorial, Provincial and Local Elections. I, myself traveled back to Bago to cast my vote. The voting stations are usually set at my old grade school (where I also met some of my old grade school classmates!) and we only had to look for our precincts. There we were, lining up to cast our votes when we’re told that we needed to go to the other line to tell them our names so they can take out our records (piece of paper) and add it to another bunch. There are usually poll watchers that should make the flow of voting easier and faster.

In contrast, the watchers — or should I say one of the watchers wasn’t doing much except preparing the records of voters while the other watcher handled the handing out of the ballots, the receiving and processing of filled out ballots AND calling out who is supposed to vote next. It took an hour for us to actually cast our votes! I have no idea what the other watcher was supposed to be there for. You can clearly see the other one absolutely looking frazzled while she’s on her seat smiling and cool despite the tremendous heat!

of World of Warcraft
I spent the entire afternoon of both yesterday (Sunday) and today playing World of Warcraft. I currently have two characters; a now Level-17 Human Paladin and a Level-10 Draenei Shaman.

I’ve been playing with my Paladin character for weeks now and I have been utterly frustrated with how many times my character has died. My last quest required me to team with a group of other players to go into the Dead Mines at Westfall. Since I was a Paladin, I became the healer of the group. Generally, I stayed at the back of the party and kept a close eye on the other members’ health points. We had this one group member that was being played by 16 year old who was so frakking annoying what with him jumping up and down and running off from the group. We kept telling him that he needs to stay with us because some of the party members weren’t familiar with the mines. During the second time we all died, we traveled back to the mines only to discover that he had gone back to Stormwind to finish a quest and left us to fend for ourselves! Seriously! The group leader was so astonished and mad about it. I can’t blame him!

I started out playing the Draenei today and as of 8:00 pm I have now reached level 10 and have not died … not even once. The one thing I like about playing this new character is that I chose to be a Shaman — which means I can attack an enemy from afar and have him/her come to me, while as a Paladin, you’ll have to get close to your opponent to engage it in a duel. I think I’m going to continue developing this character the next time I log on.

Of Videos
I’m bringing you two videos in this post. One is the preview of CSI:New York’s season finale (which is set to air this Wednesday). From the looks of it, it’s going to be one hell of an episode. Bad guys taking over the CSI lab, hostage taking, Mac as action-man and Danny and Lindsay getting it on!

The next one is a short trailer of the movie A Dog’s Breakfast, a project from David Hewlett (Rodney McKay of Stargate Atlantis). It’s short but it is extremely hilarious. I would definitely like to see this one!

Well, that’s it! =)
